A Personal Note From Me

I WAS A YO-YO DIETER AND PRONE TO BINGING

I was yo-yo dieting for the majority of my life since the age of 12. I've done low cal, low fat, low carb, Keto, intermittent fasting, detoxing, crash diets, weight loss drugs...you name it. Between diets, when I would get fed up with all the restrictions, I would binge while trying to convince myself that I was OK with the extra weight because "I'd rather be chubby and happy than skinny and sad." What I didn't know back then was that my underlying anxiety manifested in an unhealthy relationship with food. Eating was a coping mechanism for stress. The cycle would continue, because I never got to the source of the problem.

I ALSO STRUGGLED WITH PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

When I was overweight, I didn't like having full body pics taken, and I would always discretely try to cover myself up with my posture. I wore oversized clothes to cover my "rolls." I hated exercise and would become short of breath just walking up stairs. I was having frequent panic attacks for no known reason.

It wasn't until I was diagnosed with a chronic condition and put on medication that I decided to start focusing on my health using evidence-based holistic methods. What I discovered was life-changing.

I have since stopped struggling with my weight. My health is great and I'm physically fit. I'm off all medications. I no longer have panic attacks. I'm still a "foodie," but have a much healthier relationship with food. Most importantly, I feel at peace with myself and my body. This is all possible for you, too.

WHAT KIND OF TIME COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED?

The length of the program is 12 weeks. Each week you will have a mini-training video and short action task to complete, as well as one weekly private coaching session of 45-60 minutes. Everything can be done according to your schedule. I recommend setting aside 2 hours per week.

WILL I HAVE TO FOLLOW A STRICT DIET AND GIVE UP A BUNCH OF FOODS?

You won't be following any diet at all. You will be guided towards nourishing food and how to make the most of it so you feel satisfied. Don't worry, you won't be eating salads all the time. There will be no fasting or cutting out carbs. There will be no counting points or calories or weighing out your portions. You will be surprised at how filling and satisfying a healthy meal can be if you do it right, and I'll show you how. You can even indulge sometimes. It's all about balance!

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE TIME TO COOK OR DON'T LIKE TO COOK?

This program was designed with the busy woman in mind. I will suggest simple meal plans and recipes and ways to prep so you're not spending a lot of time in the kitchen. For those completely averse to cooking, I can provide weekly meal delivery service suggestions (if available in your area).

WILL I HAVE TO GIVE UP ALCOHOL?

No, but you may want to cut down, depending on how much you drink.

WILL I HAVE TO JOIN A GYM?

Not if you don't want to. We will explore your "exercise style" and preferred ways to move your body and decide what would work best to get you moving a little more. Walking is great exercise for women over 40 and I highly encourage it if that's all you can do for now. If you have mobility issues or physical limitations that make it difficult to work out, not to worry...you can still lose weight with this method even without exercise.

WHAT IF I HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS, LIKE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE OR DIABETES?

Then this program is perfect for you! We will get you moving towards optimal health and hopefully even reverse the diagnosis. As a registered nurse, I will help you monitor your health status and make sure you're doing things safely. Please disclose any physical or mental health conditions before onboarding and be sure to consult with your healthcare provider before starting the program.

WHAT IF I HAVE CHRONIC PAIN OR LIMITED MOBILITY?

I work with a lot of chronic pain patients and can tell you that it is possible to lose weight and improve your health even with physical limitations and a lack of exercise. Furthermore, this method can reduce inflammation, which leads to decreased pain and improved mobility.
